چکیده
Intermittent claudication (IC) from peripheral artery disease is typically managed with pharmacological interventions and lifestyle changes. However, despite societal guidelines, initial endovascular are being used more frequently increased complications, resulting in rapid progression to acute critical limb-threatening ischemia (ALI). This case concerns a patient who developed ALI following treatment of IC at another facility, malpositioned bilateral common iliac stents continuous stent extension into the popliteal occlusion entirety right lower extremity vasculature. illustrates how extensive intervention for can result requiring urgent revascularization.

The Arterial Pattern of Terminal Branch of the Abdominal Aorta in the Male Persian Squirrel (Sciurus Anomalus)
Introduction: The Persian squirrel (Sciurus anomalus) is considered the only well-known species of the family Sciuridae in the Middle East. Since some people keep this squirrel as a domestic pet, their attendance at veterinary clinics is increasing. So far, no study has been conducted on the arterial supply of the pelvic cavity and limb in the squirrel. Hence, this research was performed to fil...
متن کاملLeft External Iliac and Common Femoral Artery Occlusion Following Blunt Abdominal Trauma without Associated Bone Injury
Blunt abdominal trauma may cause peripheral vascular injuries. However, blunt abdominal trauma rarely results in injuries to the external iliac and common femoral arteries, which often stem from regional bone fractures. Here, we present the case of a patient who had experienced trauma in the lower abdominal and groin area three months before presenting to the hospital, but these injuries did no...

Intravascular synovial sarcoma is a rare neoplasm that arises in large veins of the junctional zone between the proximal leg and lower trunk in adult women. Herein we report the first case of an intravascular synovial sarcoma of the external iliac vein. It was successfully treated with neoadjuvant radiotherapy, radical excisional surgery, and combined arterial and venous reconstruction. Intrava...
متن کاملFemoral Endovenectomy with Iliac Stenting for Chronic Iliofemoral Venous Occlusion
A 62-year-old man with progressive swelling on his left thigh and leg was referred to the Division of Vascular Surgery. Anticoagulation therapy did not prevent or improve the symptoms of chronic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) from his left external iliac vein to posterior tibial vein. He had no trauma history nor any accidents. He underwent femoral endovenectomy, thrombectomy and stent insertion in...
متن کاملWire-Interwoven Nitinol Stent Outcome in the Superficial Femoral and Proximal Popliteal Arteries: Twelve-Month Results of the SUPERB Trial.
BACKGROUND Stent-based therapy in the superficial femoral and popliteal arteries in patients with peripheral artery disease is compromised by restenosis and risk of stent fracture or distortion. A novel self-expanding nitinol stent was developed that incorporates an interwoven-wire design (Supera stent, IDEV Technologies, Inc, Webster, TX) to confer greater radial strength, flexibility, and fra...
